7 ARRESTED IN MIDWAY ON DRUG CHARGES! ........................

The Sheriff's Office Vice & Narcotics Unit and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement conducted 3 search warrants on Parker-Knight Road in Midway, FL.

"SHERIFF'S OFFICE, SEARCH WARRANT!!" Is what woke residences who live on Parker-Knight Road early Friday morning. On Friday, June 2nd, 2006 at 5:00am the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office Vice & Narcotics Unit and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement conducted three simultaneous search warrants at 266 Parker-Knight Road, 273/279 Parker-Knight Road, and 410 Parker-Knight Road. These search warrants completed a month long investigation that began with several complaints of illegal drug activity from neighbors in the area. The search warrants yielded 5 Felony arrest and 2 Misdemeanor arrest.

At 273/279 Parker-Knight Road: Fredrick Royal of 273/279 Parker-Knight Road was arrested on outstanding warrants for domestic battery, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams. Emma Lee Parker of 273-279 Parker-Knight Road was arrested for maintaining a dwelling where drugs are sold, stored or consumed. Deronco Parker who is an absconder from the Department of Corrections was arrested for sale of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell. Charles Lamb was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 410 Parker-Knight Road: Kendrick Bryant of Havana, FL was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana more than 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tammy Lee Washington (nee: Parker) was arrested for 2 counts of possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell and 2 counts of sale of crack cocaine.

At 266 Parker-Knight Road: Curtis Lee Royal was arrested for sale of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of powder cocaine with intent to sell, beverages sold with out license or registration or held with intent to sell, possession of controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling that sells controlled substance, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Curtis Lee Royal secured an operational license from the City of Midway to operate a small store from which he sold cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and alcoholic beverages without a license or registration.

Close to $2000.00 of us currency, 52 baggies of crack cocaine, one pill bottle of crack cocaine, 13.4 ounces of powder cocaine, 43.7 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, several bottles of alcoholic beverages and one vehicle was seized during these search warrants.

Sheriff Morris A. Young commends the Vice and Narcotics Unit for their work and states that he will not let drug dealers or drug users deteriorate the quality of life for law abiding citizens of this county and that many more arrest like these should be expected in the near future.
