The purpose of E911 is to assist in the quick response of all emergency agencies in the protection of Life and Property.
This office is responsible for assigning physical addresses to all livable structures, maintaining geographical maps and assisting with the naming of all streets and roads in the county.
This office is also responsible for maintaining a database of phone numbers with the corresponding physical location or street address. The four telephone companies that currently serve Gadsden County provide updates to the database.
